Xsjado rollerblade mods and hacks

My custom modifications to my Xsjado skates. Tips and Tricks to mod your skates. I started on recreational rollerblades at age 36. I’m 38 now and on aggressive skates. Check out MonkeyThink.com for more info on these and other mods as well as how to make ramps, rails, wax, and much more. Skating at Penticton Youth Park. I’m using ceramic maintainable bearings. They cost a wee bit more but last a lot longer too. They have pop off covers to clean and lube. Ceramics bearings don’t heat up and warp like metal ones. Also I switched from mook freestyle frames to Kieser antirocker setup because I found freestyle frames to not be very ledge friendly as the wheels would often bite. I hear they are really good for grinding giant sewer pipes and fallen telephone poles and rails but they kinda suck for ledges. Also if you get a insole get a firm one like superfeet. Soft insoles like Dr Sholls and others DON’T work in skates and even make your foot loose in your shoe. Xsjado brand skates are skated by pros like: Chris Farmer, Jeff Stockwell, Damien Wilson, Ben Schwab, JC Rowe. — ATTN: since this video I added part of the Velcro strap back from the screw holes where the buckle attaches. There are some reasons for this as it takes excess pressure off the cuff and will prevent it from splitting or the cuff nuts being pulled out. See MonkeyThink.com – Plans page for more info on cuff options.
